NSN’s quality chief named executive contributor to QuEST Forum board

Espoo, Finland – February 17, 2014

Appointment underscores NSN’s focus and commitment to quality improvement

Deepti Arora, vice president of quality and member of the executive board for Nokia Solutions and Networks, has been named an Executive Contributor to the QuEST Forum board. QuEST Forum’s mission is to improve the quality, reliability and performance of the information communication and technology (ICT) industry. The appointment further demonstrates NSN’s commitment to quality improvement, and ensures a level of NSN leadership and involvement.

“We are pleased to have NSN’s senior leadership join us as we implement strategic quality initiatives for a fast-changing ICT industry,” said Fraser Pajak, CEO of QuEST Forum. “Deepti’s personal experience in executing global quality improvement initiatives will be welcome.”

QuEST Forum, formed in 1998, is a global communications association comprising industry service providers and suppliers dedicated to advancing the quality, reliability, and performance of ICT products and services around the world. The Forum does this by driving the worldwide adoption of TL 9000 telecommunications quality management system standards; providing opportunities to share and discuss business impacting best practices; providing relevant industry performance benchmarking data; and providing new products and services to meet customers’ needs globally.

“As LTE, cloud services, and big data change how we use mobile broadband around the world, multi-vendor IP networks are becoming more complex and there is a need for our industry to work together to improve performance quality,” said Deepti Arora. “NSN has made quality a key pillar of its growth strategy. We have selected QuEST Forum’s TL 9000 quality key performance indicators as an important element in driving end-to-end quality across the globe to increase our customer value and improve our own efficiency. QuEST Forum is in an excellent position to shape the quality management system of the future, raising the bar on ICT quality standards and accelerating the sharing of lessons learned across the ecosystem.”

An active member in the QuEST Forum, NSN was also recently awarded the organization’s 340 Club Award for engagement in quality working groups for the second consecutive year. NSN leaders will be sharing learnings at QuEST Forum’s 2014 Best Practice Conferences to be held in APAC, EMEA and the Americas.
