ATLANTA – February 25, 2014 – FiberLight, LLC (FiberLight), an industry leader in providing high performance fiber optic network solutions, announces the appointment of Paul Pierron as its Chief Executive Officer. Paul will draw from his 39 years of telecom and business experience to continue to further develop FiberLight’s expertise in providing custom-tailored fiber and transport solutions in some the country’s most rapidly growing metropolitan areas.
In his previous role as FiberLight’s Chief Operating Officer, Paul oversaw the day-to-day operations of FiberLight’s Sales, Operations and Finance Departments and played a key role in securing a number of key wins for the company. These include establishing numerous critical partnerships with data centers in the mid-Atlantic region and continuing the company’s Texas expansion activities – one of the industry’s largest construction projects. As CEO, Paul will be responsible for setting and overseeing FiberLight’s company strategy and cultural vision, growing the company’s revenues by improving overall service delivery, successfully completing its Texas expansion activities and introducing new transport products.
“I am proud of Paul and the entire management team at FiberLight for their great success in 2013. In recognition of Paul’s critical contribution to the company’s overall growth the past year, the board is pleased to promote Paul to CEO,” said James Lynch, Executive Chairman on FiberLight’s Board of Directors and Managing Partner at Thermo Capital Partners, LLC. “I am pleased and excited to be working with Paul again. After working with Paul at Xspedius Communications and seeing his management success first-hand, I am looking forward to his continued success at FiberLight as the company continues to grow in the coming years. I am optimistic for FiberLight’s prospects for 2014, including meeting the needs of our customers, adding key hires and promoting internally to support growth and improvement in operations.”
In addition to his tenure in the telecommunications market, Paul draws from his experience in key leadership positions within Sales, Operations, Business Development and Customer Service Departments at companies such as AT&T, Southwestern Bell, Sprint, Nuvox and LightCore. He also previously served as President and CEO of both PEG, LLC and Xspedius Communications, LLC. Additionally, Paul founded and led a number of private companies in the construction, retail and food service industries.
