Responding to Increased Demand Telx Announces Expansion of Chicago Data Center

New York, NY (December 13, 2013)Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud enablement services and datacenter solutions, today announced the addition of nearly 2400 sq. ft. of new whitespace to its CHI1 data center at 350 Cermak in downtown Chicago. The 4th floor expansion addresses an increased demand in the downtown market.

The expanded 2,380 sq. ft. of whitespace consists of 45 additional cabinets (42U) and 1,500 sq. ft. of cage space that is available today for immediate customer installation. Power, including all standard deliverable voltages, is supported by a 2N UPS infrastructure and an N+1 on the generator.

Additionally, dedicated Internet Access (DIA), EtherConnect and DataConnect services will also be offered out of the new suite.

Located in the south loop of the Chicago Central Business District, 350 E. Cermak is the premier mission critical interconnection, colocation and telecommunications facility in the Midwest. The facility offers access to over 40 leading domestic and international carriers and physical connection points to the world’s telecommunications networks and Internet backbones.
