Warsaw, 19. December 2013 – GTS Central Europe (GTS), a leading provider of integrated telecommunications solutions and data center services throughout Central and Eastern Europe, has entered into a long term contract with LUKOIL Poland, an international vertically-integrated oil and gas company, to provide network services to their 116 gas stations across Poland.
GTS designed and implemented a new multiservice network infrastructure to support LUKOIL’s core operations to their 116 Polish filling stations. The customized solution utilizes GTS’ next generation IP voice and data networking platforms, which support all of LUKOIL’s internal business applications as well as their point of sale (POS) and fleet card systems for payment processing between their filling stations, data centers and banks. To ensure business continuity, GTS architected a fully protected solution with the backup services based on a different technology for an extra level of resiliency.
As part of the solution, GTS also deployed WiFi networks with IP connectivity to these 116 full-service stations, which include an attached restaurant and express market. These WiFi networks will be managed by LUKOIL and are intended to allow their customers to access the Internet while visiting their locations.
“We are excited to have been selected as the preferred network partner for LUKOIL Poland. Our comprehensive solution includes several ICT service components that are specifically tailored to their business needs,” stated Piotr Sieluk, Managing Director of GTS Poland. “This further validates GTS’ competence in designing and managing custom ICT solutions for large enterprise customers.”
“When dealing with customer data and payment processing, information security and network reliability are imperative. It was crucial to find a reliable partner who understood our business goals and could manage our complex Poland network infrastructure,” said Audrius Stropus, President of LUKOIL Poland. “We are confident that our employees and customers will benefit from this cooperation with GTS.”
