Paris, December 20, 2013 – Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) announces today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc., has agreed with its lenders on an amendment to its Senior Secured Credit Facilities (the “Facilities”) announced on January 30, 2013. The amendment, which is expected to be effective in February 2014, has the effect of lowering the interest rate margin from 4.75% to 3.50% on the US$1,750 million Senior Secured Term Loan Facility due 2019 (the “Dollar tranche”). As of December 20, 2013 the principal amount outstanding on the Dollar tranche is US$1,737 million. Amounts outstanding under other tranches of the Facilities have been repaid. This amendment is part of the Shift Plan announced by the company in June 2013. |
