Transtelco Announces the Acquisition of XC Networks

El Paso, Texas, / Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, November 21st 2013 – Transtelco, a telecommunications service provider, is pleased to announce the closing of the acquisition of Dallas-based XC Networks. XC Networks owns and operates data centers, fiber assets and wireless spectrum throughout Mexico and the United States.

“The acquisition of XC Networks marks an important milestone for Transtelco as it increases its scale and footprint adding a strong and complementary portfolio of services and clients. The combined Network and enhanced Portfolio of Services accelerates Transtelco’s growth and allows us to meet the growing demands of Enterprise and Carrier customers,” said Miguel Fernandez, Chief Executive Officer of Transtelco. “We continue to see meaningful growth throughout the markets in which we operate and we believe we are well positioned to capitalize on them.”

Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. acted as exclusive financial advisor and sole placement agent for Transtelco. MC Credit Partners LP and affiliates led and provided acquisition financing. Gordon Davis Johnson & Shane P.C. acted as legal advisor to Transtelco.

Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP acted as legal advisor to XC Networks.
