Annual award presented by nonprofit association DallasHR recognizes outstanding human resources leaders
Dallas, TX (November 26, 2013) – Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (:CONE, news) is pleased to announce that Vice President of Human Resources Denise Sikes has been nominated for the DallasHR 2013 Human Resource Executive of the Year Award. DallasHR is a nonprofit association with nearly 2,000 members and more than 1,000 companies represented in its membership. It is regularly recognized as one of the top affiliate chapters in the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) association.
“We’re very proud to have Denise nominated from the thousands of Dallas-area HR professionals and excited to see her expertise being recognized by peers in the HR community,” said Kim Sheehy, chief financial and administrative officer of CyrusOne. “Denise joined CyrusOne last year as we were planning for our initial public offering and transitioning corporate functions from regional offices in Houston and Cincinnati to our new headquarters in Carrollton, Texas. She quickly and capably assessed the situation at hand and developed an actionable plan with the strategic and tactical objectives needed to support our aggressive growth agenda.”
Sikes has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and has held management and executive roles in nonprofit, publicly traded and emerging-growth companies. She is passionate about people development and regularly volunteers with student chapters in the local SHRM organizations. Sikes is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. She is a member of SHRM, DallasHR, the North Texas Compensation Association, and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
