Alcatel-Lucent announces appointment of Marisa Baldo to lead Investor Relations

Paris, November 5, 2013 – Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris, NYSE: ALU) today announced that Marisa Baldo will join Alcatel-Lucent as Vice-President, Investor Relations, taking over responsibility for communication with the investment community, including financial analysts, institutional investors and retail shareholders.

Ms. Baldo will report to Jean Raby, Alcatel-Lucent’s Chief Financial Officer, and her appointment becomes effective November 5, 2013. She replaces Frank Maccary who has been appointed Controller for the Fixed Networks activity.‪

Commenting on Ms. Baldo’s appointment, Jean Raby, Chief Financial Officer of Alcatel-Lucent said: “I am very pleased to announce Marisa’s appointment today. She has a first-class pedigree as a financial analyst for the technology sector, and this acumen together with her broader background will be essential to strengthening our relationship with investors and other key stakeholders as we make further progress with The Shift Plan. I would like to warmly thank Frank Maccary for his thorough commitment and for his key role in presenting The Shift Plan to the financial community.”

Between 1995 and 2004, Ms. Baldo was a sell-side financial analyst at Société-Générale, at first in charge of European technology stocks – including Alcatel-Lucent – and then head of the Semiconductors sector. In September 2004 she became director of M&A and Strategic Projects at Technicolor (formerly known as Thomson Multimedia), a role she remained in until 2010. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent Ms. Baldo was the founder of a consultancy, and has also served as a professor of financial analysis at the Rouen Business School.

Ms. Baldo is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP) and is a member of La Société Française des Analystes Financiers (SFAF). She holds a master’s degree in Economics.
