Sprint’s Annual Veterans Day Celebration Nov. 7 – Open to the public, kids are welcome

Sprint has approximately 1,500 veteran employees, 50 Sprint employees currently deployed.

(BUSINESS WIRE), October 31, 2013 – Sprint’s sixth annual Veterans Day Celebration will be held Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Sprint World Headquarters Campus in Overland Park, Kan. This event will be cohosted by Sprint Campus tenants JP Morgan and Black & Veatch.

Sprint has approximately 1,500 veteran employees, and 50 Sprint employees are currently deployed. VETS, Sprint’s military Employee Resource Group, has more than 830 employee members active in 36 states and Puerto Rico.

Sprint values and honors members of the military who serve our country, and is widely recognized for our strong commitment to the military and veterans. Sprint was recently recognized as a 2014 Most Valuable Employer for Military for the fifth year in a row from CivilianJobs.com, named by G.I. Jobs as a top Military Friendly Employer for 2014, as well as the No. 2 happiest company for U.S. veterans in 2012 by CareerBliss. Sprint recently donated $100,000 in technology to military students and is partnering with the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS), a strategic U.S. Army program working with businesses across different industries to open the door to possible employment opportunities once a soldier or cadet has fulfilled his or her required obligations with the Army, Army reserve or Army ROTC.
