SaskTel Selects BroadSoft to Deliver Voice Over LTE and other All-IP Services for Both Enterprise and Consumer Markets

BroadWorks provides SaskTel with a single platform solution for enabling next-gen IP wireless and wireline services including voice, multimedia and Unified Communications (UC) applications for business customers

GAITHERSBURG, MD, October 7, 2013 – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:BSFT, news, filings) today announced that SaskTel has selected the BroadWorks ® Telephony Application Server (TAS) to provide both fixed and mobile all-IP services for their business and consumer customers. BroadWorks will also support Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Unified Communications (UC) business services for SaskTel’s mobile subscribers when roaming across all Canadian provinces.

SaskTel selected BroadSoft based on the company’s extensive industry experience and superior capabilities, including:

  • Depth and industry leadership with IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) networks, with over 70 deployments worldwide
  • A single architecture to serve both consumer and enterprise VoLTE
  • Platform flexibility and support for industry standards, enabling BroadSoft to seamlessly integrate third party technologies and applications
