RingCentral Launches into UK with Cloud-based Business Communications

SAN MATEO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

RingCentral, Inc. (RNG), a leading provider of cloud business communications solutions, today announced the launch of RingCentral Office in the UK. RingCentral Office is designed for today’s distributed workforce and connects staff on their smartphones, tablets and desktop phones, wherever they are, in the office, at home or while travelling.

With over 300,000 businesses using its cloud platform, RingCentral is disrupting the communications landscape. The cloud-based phone system is easy to buy, manage and use enables businesses to optimize calls, fax, and conferencing, while seamlessly integrating with other cloud solutions like salesforce.com, Box, Dropbox, and Google.

“Communication is the life-blood of businesses, but outdated on-premise phone systems were not designed for the new world of work. Staff don’t work a traditional 9am to 5pm day tied to a office desk anymore,” said Vlad Shmunis, CEO, Founder and Chairman of the Board at RingCentral. “Today, customers expect instant communication and personalized customer service, while employees need the flexibility to use communication devices of their choice from any location they choose to work. At RingCentral, we aim to make enterprise functionality available to businesses of all sizes and give them a competitive edge by providing the tools for seamless communications.”

Research from IDC has found that 86 percent of companies have mobile workers and a recent survey from YouGov claims that 93% of the British workforce work from home for part of the week.

With the rise of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), the RingCentral mobile app turns smartphones and tablets into fully functional business communication devices. With no capital equipment or hardware maintenance costs, the all-inclusive monthly pricing plan gives businesses the benefit of low, predictable costs.

Companies like Fargo Systems, a supplier of specialized transport and logistics software, are using RingCentral to improve customer communications and link three of its depots to a single cloud phone system. Thanks to RingCentral’s solution, the company is able to better manage flexible working, with staff taking advantage of the voicemail to email functionality while traveling. The company is also improving customer service with the ability for consultants to promptly answer and route calls from 1,200 users in 15 countries.
