App seamlessly combines texting, instant messaging, video chat, group messaging; along with video and photo sharing
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (BUSINESS WIRE), October 14, 2013 – Connecting with family and friends just got easier for Sprint (NYSE:S, news, filings) customers with the launch of Messaging Plus on select iPhone and Android™-powered smartphones. Messaging Plus, powered by cloud communications company Jibe Mobile, lets customers use a single application to connect with family and friends on any wireless carrier in the United States, Canada and Mexico via text, instant messaging, group messaging, and video chat, as well as sharing of photos and videos. Sprint is the first national wireless carrier to enable cloud-based enhanced messaging features that can be downloaded on select smartphones for consumer use with multiple carriers.
