CyrusOne National Internet Exchange delivers multi-site solution for U.S.-based multinational company
Global colocation solutions provider CyrusOne (CONE) announced today that it has preleased the remaining available space in its existing San Antonio facility to a leading global company based in the United States. In addition, the customer is taking space in CyrusOne’s Houston and Phoenix data centers and plans to leverage the unique and cost-effective connectivity benefits that the CyrusOne National Internet Exchange (National IX) offers.
“We’re very excited to announce that our 110,000 square foot San Antonio data center is 100 percent sold out,” said Gary Wojtaszek, chief executive officer of CyrusOne. “Demand for colocation space in San Antonio has been strong as evidenced by the rapid pace at which we were able to lease space in our existing data center. The San Antonio site is also part of our proprietary multi-data center platform, which provides customers the ability to architect data center solutions that will replicate what other Fortune 500 companies are currently doing in-house today, but at a significantly lower cost and faster time to market. This connected platform delivers low-cost, robust connectivity and provides customers with a one-stop solution to meet their production and their disaster recovery needs.”
CyrusOne recently announced plans to build a second data center in San Antonio and expects to break ground on the new facility in the fourth quarter of 2013.
