CHARLOTTE, NC — (Marketwired) — 08/13/13 —Equinox Global Telecommunications, a provider of carrier grade, low-latency telecommunication network services, announces today it is accepting dark fiber orders on its Charlotte route as it continues network growth into the state of Georgia. These new network routes will reach Atlanta to Macon and Macon to Columbus. This growth comes on the heels of Equinox’s recently announced Charlotte, NC project that will add many diverse routes to this key city in Southeast. Construction on the Georgia segments will begin soon and are expected to be complete in 2014-2015.
As fund raising continues and dark fiber becomes available for lease on the Charlotte route, Equinox is focused on meeting customer demand. Along with the routes that traverse Atlanta, Macon and Columbus, Equinox also has plans for network growth in coastal and central Georgia. The company’s growth in North Carolina and Georgia is in response to the need for higher bandwidth speeds in the business, education and government sectors. “Equinox’s expansion into Atlanta, Macon and Columbus, GA marks the second phase of our southeast expansion plans,” states Harold Greene, a spokesperson of Equinox Global Telecommunications. “We have worked diligently on the network planning to make sure our network will provide diversity, reliability and opportunities for growth to our customers. We look forward to building a network that further positions the southeast as leading region for conducting business.”
