Hosted by TMCnet and billed as “the world’s largest communications and technology event,” ITEXPO West explores new ways to leverage powerful communications solutions to expand business. Cbeyond cloud experts will be featured on multiple panels and be on hand at booth#224 to discuss the company’s cloud and network solutions for channel partners targeting SMBs.

Cloud4SMB Expo is the first event of its kind focused on the unique needs and challenges of small and medium businesses (SMBs) seeking to leverage the benefits of cloud computing solutions. ChannelVision Expo (CVx) is designed to help channel players and wholesale service providers develop partnerships that cross traditional lines of business.

On Tuesday, August 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. PDT, Chris Ortbals, Cbeyond’s senior vice president of product management, joins John Gorst from InsynQ on a panel entitled “Cloud and the SMB: Pros, Cons, and Everything in Between,” at Cloud4SMB Expo. Moderated by Charlene O’Hanlon, managing editor of The VAR Guy and Talkin’ Cloud, the panelists will examine the pros and cons of cloud solutions with regard to flexibility, scalability, costs and other variables that can cause headaches for SMBs looking for the right cloud alternative for their unique needs.

On Wednesday, August 28 from 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. PDT, Satish Hemachandran, Cbeyond’s senior director of product management, cloud services, along with Chris Gonyea, director of client services at Dyn, features as a panelist on “The New IT Paradigm: SMBs in the Age of Cloud,” at Cloud4SMB Expo.  This session, moderated by Andy Abramson, CEO of Communicano, Inc., will discuss how the cloud can turn the IT organization from a reactive organization struggling to catch up with the times to one that is ahead of the curve and partners with businesses and vendors to maximize resources and deliver synergy within the new IT paradigm.

On Thursday, August 29 from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. PDT, Jeff Uphues, Cbeyond’s vice president, solution sales, will present “Sifting through the Cloud Soup: Channel Partners’ Recipes for Success via Virtual Technology” at the CVx Educational Theatre.  This vendor-neutral session will highlight five vital tips to help businesses sift through the ingredients that have formed the modern-day “cloud soup,” determine if they are, in fact, cloud-ready, and begin simmering a recipe that can be delivered at a hearty cost – possibly with leftovers – for business users.

On the same day, August 29 from noon to 12:45 p.m. PDT, Bill Thomson, Cbeyond’s senior director of product management for cloud services, joins experts from Interneer Inc. and ShoreTel as a panelist on “UCaaS: Making UC Work for SMBs” at Cloud4SMB Expo.  During this presentation panelists will discuss the differences between different deployment and management alternatives, from full cloud based UC (unified communications) to hybrid solutions that combine the best of on premises with hosted features, in order to deliver a foundation for understanding how the cloud can deliver true business communications advantages.
