Cloud Hosting services now part of disaster recovery planning
GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. — US Signal, an industry-leading network and infrastructure provider, has enhanced their Cloud Hosting services by adding the ability toback-up mission-critical virtual infrastructure on-demand.Virtual Machine (VM) Based Backup Service instantly replicates virtual servers on a daily basis and stores them in a remote, geographically diverse US Signal owned and operated data center. Upon request, VM Based Backup Service restores corrupted or malfunctioning virtual machines up to one month from the incident that compromised it.
VM Based Backup Service eliminates the need for US Signal customers to use 3rd party software to backup and store virtual infrastructure. Customers are also relieved of the capital expense included in purchasing and maintaining softwareneeded for some backup solutions. Instead of burdening in-house IT with the complexities of backup and recovery activities, these tasks are professionally managed by highly trained US Signal Network Operations (NOC) technicians.
“The day-to-day backup operations are transparent to our customers as this service does not require powering down virtual operating systems and applications,” said Matt VanderZwaag, director of product development. “If a virtual machine needs to be restored, all it takes is an email or phone call to our NOC to immediately begin restoral procedures,” he noted.
VM Based Backup Service is supported by US Signal’s expansive fiber-optic network architecture. Multiple data centers distributed throughout the network provide highly secure, diverse data transport.
