EarthLink SIP Trunking Solution Now Rated Avaya Compliant
Atlanta, GA — July 29, 2013 — EarthLink, Inc., (NASDAQ: ELNK) a leading IT services and communications provider, today announced that its SIP Trunking integrated voice and data access service is compliant with key platforms from Avaya, a global provider of business collaboration and communication software and services. EarthLink SIP Trunking integrated voice and data access service helps Avaya customers gain the full advantages of moving to VoIP with advanced Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) capabilities for both trunking and endpoints. All traffic from multiple locations taps into a central site with a SIP trunk, removing the need for dedicated voice connections at each business location for significant cost savings. SIP Trunking can also automatically connect to a secondary connection for a fail-over option for business continuity and disaster recovery support. EarthLink SIP Trunking is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 6.2, Avaya Aura® Session Manager 6.2 and Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise 4.0.5. “Achieving Avaya DevConnect compliance for EarthLink’s SIP Trunking provides our business customers, channel partners and Value-Added Resellers with increased confidence in our service’s interoperability and successful deployment within their enterprise environments,”; said David Cottingham, Senior Vice President of Products, EarthLink. “EarthLink is committed to helping clients incorporate new technology easily and cost-effectively and uncover new ways of getting more out of their communications infrastructure. Our DevConnect membership is an important element in that successful implementation.” EarthLink is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network. As a Technology Partner, EarthLink is eligible to submit products for compliance testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab. There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compatible. Doing so enables businesses to confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs. “Participation of Technology Partners like EarthLink in the DevConnect Program helps Avaya customers obtain complete end-to-end solutions with ease,” said Eric Rossman, Vice President, Developer Relations, Avaya. “EarthLink architected its SIP Trunking solution to utilize the latest Avaya technology, helping users gain the cost-effective advantages of a broad range of fully-integrated communications capabilities.” About Avaya About EarthLink |
