Boulder, Colo. – June 26, 2013 – Zayo Group today announced the expansion of its Tier 1 Internet backbone in the Salt Lake City market. With this expansion, Zayo can provide IP services throughout the Salt Lake market, offering up to 10Gbps at both the company’s IP PoPs and at end customer locations. Zayo’s IP expansion throughout Salt Lake City leverages current metro fiber assets in this region.
Zayo currently offers IP and Transport communication services in more than 283 markets across the U.S. and Europe. In response to customer demand for higher performance and bandwidth, Zayo is expanding direct access to its IP backbone, as well as offering 100G wavelength services into additional markets across its network.
The Salt Lake City expansion will improve network performance and will facilitate traffic growth for Bandwidth Infrastructure customers including data center operators, technology companies, educational institutions and manufacturers.
