John Stratton Outlines His Vision of the Future of Telecommunications at Tri-annual G9+ Event
John Stratton, President of Verizon Enterprise Solutions, outlined his view on the future of telecommunications in a virtual opening keynote address at the tri-annual G9+ event held in Paris, France on June 24, 2013. The conversation was hosted by Yves Gassot, CEO of the Digiworld Institute by IDATE and may be viewed here.
The theme of the event -“Telecommunications Operators – Dinosaurs or Mutants? What is on the horizon for 2020?” – generated interesting debates amongst the additional speakers from the telecommunications industry as well as the attending members of the influential G9+ Institute.
Speakers presented their views of the future evolution of the telecommunications industry, including usage trends, technological developments, financial value and more, in the context of both economic and political change.
The G9+ Institute is an independent IT Think Tank made up of and driven by the IT alumni associations of the top 20 French universities (equivalent to the American Ivy League). It was created in 1995 and has 50,000+ active and influential members composed of CxOs and senior managers who promote IT policies exchanges within the French industry.
