Sprint Champions Soccer via Sponsorship of CONCACAF Gold Cup 2013

Sprint to Unveil Official Fancaster a.k.a. Super Fan to Help Rally Soccer Enthusiasts During Gold Cup Tournament

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – June 24, 2013 – Sprint (NYSE:S, news, filings), today announced the kick-off of its CONCACAF Gold Cup sponsorship. The summer sponsorship includes the unveiling of an official Fancaster who will rally Gold Cup fans around the country via traditional media, grassroots and social outreach. Sprint takes sports fanaticism to the next level as it aims to provide a unique experience where soccer fans can get closer to the excitement and passion associated with following their favorite teams during the Gold Cup tournament. This marks the 4th time since 2007 that Sprint has been the official wireless sponsor of the Gold Cup tournament.

Consumers will have the opportunity to enter once a day starting July 1st viawww.sprint.com/copa or Facebook/sprintlatino for a chance to win a paid trip to the tournament final in Chicago, IL on July 28th.

Finally, Sprint will have an interactive footprint in certain markets throughout the Gold Cup.  Ahead of the first game in each respective market’s double header, Sprint will host a fan zone where attendees will be able to participate in soccer challenges, meet a soccer legend and win many prizes.  The footprint will also have a station where consumers will be able to charge their mobile devices and learn more about the latest Sprint phones and offerings.
