Lagos, Nigeria, June 18, 2013:]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has won a 5 year Managed Services Contract from Etisalat in Nigeria ( trading as EMTS) after successfully completing an Esablish Operate Transfer (EOT) contract and a subsequent 2 years MS contract . This extends Huawei long term support for EMTS in Nigeria starting with an Establish Operate Transfer (EOT) contract initiated with a letter of intent in November 2007. Huawei accelerated EMTS time to market , being fastest of 3 vendors while at the same time having the largest scope , supporting commercial launch in October 2008 with Huawei delivering network infrastructure including Core Network, Value Added Services, IP Call Centre, Intelligent Network, Microwave Backbone and turnkey Sites. Huawei and EMTS signed a 2 year Managed Service contract in 2011 at the expiry of the initial EOT contract.
