Lady Antebellum, George Strait and Easton Corbin are Some of First Artists to Debut in Free Interactive TV App
Nashville, Tennessee, June 03, 2013
Get transported to Nashville with just a click of your remote. AT&T* U-verse®, with support from the Country Music Association (CMA), today debuted Country Deep. Country Deep is a new interactive TV app that brings country fans closer to the music they love with a focus on some of Country’s biggest artists and rising stars.
The Country Deep app will be updated on a weekly basis to feature new content including live performances, artist interviews, music videos, original content and more. The first month highlights the new music from Lady Antebellum, George Strait and Easton Corbin. Customers can also build a playlist of their favorite artists and music. You can view a demo of the app here.
Country Deep is available at no extra charge to U-verse TV customers with U-verse High Speed Internet** on channel 1530 (HD) and 530, or by clicking “Go Interactive” on their remote control. Select Country Deep content will also soon be available on Uverse.com/CountryDeep and the U-verse App for smartphones and tablets.
Fans attending the 2013 CMA Music Festival and the all new AT&T U-verse Fan Fair X can check out Country Deep at the AT&T U-verse Showcase Stage. Fans can stop by to receive a free customizable Country Deep branded autograph book, while supplies last.
“Why country? We conducted research with CMA that showed 65 percent of country music fans were interested in new and unique country music TV content. We saw an untapped opportunity to give country music fans this content through the Country Deep App on U-verse,” said Brian Collins, Vice President of Wireline Consumer Marketing, AT&T Home Solutions. “Country music has such a passionate fan base, and Country Deep will be a great way for us to deliver more value to our customers across platforms and help further differentiate AT&T U-verse.”
“AT&T is helping fulfill the huge demand we’re seeing for country content,” said Sheri Warnke, CMA Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “Fans love engaging with Country Music, and we’re proud that AT&T is launching Country Deep at the CMA Music Festival.”
The AT&T Original Content team, which works with content creators to bring differentiated content to U-verse customers in unique ways, is initially working with Universal Music Group to provide content for Country Deep.
To build on its country strategy, AT&T is also making several hit country films available for U-verse TV customers in the “Country Deep” folder in the U-verse On Demand library. The films will be available later this week and will be updated on an ongoing basis.
Country Deep is the latest interactive TV app available for AT&T U-verse customers. Interactive TV apps and multi-screen services help drive U-verse customer engagement, satisfaction and growth.
