NJR3, an advanced NYC Metro Area Data Center, Set To Open on June 19th
New York, NY (May 22, 2013) – Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud enablement services and datacenter solutions, will host a grand opening event of its new flagship data center, NJR3 on June 19, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will feature a keynote address by NFL Legend Phil Simms, along with public remarks Clifton Mayor James Anzaldi, State Senator Nia Gill, and Telx’s Executive Vice President of Engineering and Construction Michael Terlizzi. The occasion marks the official opening of Telx’s secured data center campus encompassing both NJR2 and NJR3 data centers at 100 Delawanna Avenue in Clifton, NJ, consisting of over 415,000 gross square feet.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry experts on topics such as data center operations; IT infrastructure technologies, financial services, as well as participate in a discussion about the current state of the data center industry and related fields. Cocktails and refreshments will be served, and tours of the new data center will be given. Roundtrip transportation from New York City will be made available for registered guests.
NJR3, a new 215,000 gross square feet three-story data center, adds more than 100,000 square feet of market-leading, high power density, energy efficient space allowing for customizable colocation space to meet the growing requirements of global clients for heavily networked, outsourced infrastructure solutions.
Certified as a Tier III design by the Uptime Institute and like all of Telx’s other datacenters, NJR3 is a fully managed, carrier-neutral, secure environment for enterprises, digital media and bio-pharm companies, financial services, network providers and carriers. The facility is securely located outside the region’s FEMA 500 year flood zone, ensuring no downtime in the event of unforeseen disasters, such as Hurricane Sandy. In addition, the new facility follows green, energy-efficient standards in accordance with LEED requirements.
