Global Data Center Services Provider CyrusOne Selects Dallas Suburb of Carrollton for Headquarters

Selection demonstrates CyrusOne’s continued commitment to Texas and serves as a catalyst for economic growth for the company, the community and the state

Dallas, TX (May 15, 2013) –Global data center services provider CyrusOne (:CONE, news) formally announced today that it selected the Dallas suburb of Carrollton for its new corporate headquarters location. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to take place May 21 and is expected to include local public officials and CyrusOne executives and employees.

“We’re excited that our new corporate headquarters will be in Carrollton, where we operate one of the most energy-efficient data centers in the country and the largest in the state of Texas,” said Gary Wojtaszek, president and CEO of CyrusOne. “We’ve always found Texas to be very business-friendly, and the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is no exception. Ours is a customer-service-oriented business, and we look for that same spirit of collaboration in the communities where we operate. It’s been a pleasure to work with Senator Jane Nelson, Carrollton Mayor Matthew Marchant, Economic Development Director Brad Mink, and other city officials. In addition, Carrollton is quickly and easily accessible for our customers and employees by air, rail, and road, and provides excellent resources to accommodate our growing national and international presence.”

CyrusOne’s corporate headquarters is located at its data center facility on Frankford Road in Carrollton. The site is home to the company’s first Massively Modular® data center location and boasts 640,000 square feet of space, including raised white floor and Class A office space.

“We are proud to be the location of CyrusOne’s new corporate headquarters, and the project speaks volumes about the vitality of our business climate, the talent of our workforce, and the vibrancy of our city,” said Marchant.

Continued Texas Commitment
Founded in Houston in 2000, CyrusOne entered the Dallas market from a facilities perspective in 2005. Acquired by Cincinnati Bell in 2010, CyrusOne completed an initial public offering (IPO) in January 2013, at which time discussions around headquarters site selection for the newly NASDAQ-listed company intensified.

“I’m proud to welcome CyrusOne to our community,” said Texas State Senator Jane Nelson. “This is yet another example of our strength as a desirable location for doing business. Our economy continues to diversify and outperform the rest of the country, and the addition of CyrusOne will help ensure our continued success in the global economy.”

CyrusOne’s complete market presence in Texas includes 11 data centers across Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. Earlier this year the company launched the first statewide Internet Exchange (IX) in the United States to deliver deep interconnection between all metro-enabled sites within the company’s Texas facility footprint and beyond. The CyrusOne Texas IX enables customers to connect to their own enterprise-owned facilities, and to third-party facilities, within a metro area and city-to-city, and to seamlessly engage the full ecosystem of business partners, content providers, networks, carriers, Internet service providers, and Ethernet buyers and sellers.
