Los Angeles, Calif. – U.S. TelePacific Corp., which does business as TelePacific Communications (TelePacific), has named Mark Harris Director of its Telepartner program in Southern California with overall responsibility for the company’s channel sales efforts in the region. Harris will report to Ken Bisnoff, TelePacific’s Senior Vice President of Strategic Opportunities and channel chief.
“Mark came highly referred by many of our channel partners,” says Bisnoff. “He was our hands down choice because of that, his understanding of the requirements of channel management, his overall sales management experience, a get it done and lead by example attitude and his knowledge of up-market telecommunications solution selling. Mark will be a tremendous asset for TelePacific and our Telepartners. We are very excited to have him on board and look forward to more great things from his team in support of our agent community.”
Harris recently was a General Manager with XO Communications overseeing channel and direct sales in the Southern California area. Prior to that, he was recruited by Cogent to re-energize the Southern California region and sell large IP and data services throughout North America and Europe. Before then, he spent eight years at Qwest Communications where he drove up-market enterprise sales and managed $36 million in revenue.
As Director of TelePacific’s Telepartner program in Southern California, Harris will be based at corporate headquarters in downtown Los Angeles but plans to travel frequently throughout Southern California to support channel partners and assist them with generating more business in midsize and enterprise business markets.
“TelePacific has strong leadership, a healthy, competitive and customer-centric culture, and a great brand within the channel community,” says Harris. “Those attributes, coupled with considerable network investments and new products capable of enhancing the communications infrastructure of SMBs as well as larger multi-location businesses, are what attracted me to TelePacific. We have an enormous opportunity in front of us to advance brand awareness and move up-market, and I’m looking forward to working with our channel partners to realize that potential.”
