Pacnet Welcomes Colocentric To Channel Partner Program

London, 11 April 2013 – Pacnet, a leading provider of integrated and full-service network and data center solutions in the Asia Pacific region, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Colocentric, a UK-based consultancy to join the Pacnet Channel Partner Program. The agreement allows Colocentric to market Pacnet’s Asia Pacific leading data center, MPLS, and content delivery services to European headquartered enterprises and service providers.

“Over the past three years we have seen the critical relationship between data center operators, enterprise customers and network providers converging, fueled by the growing development, utilization and reliance on cloud-based services,” said Phil Yates, Principal, Colocentric. “The availability of seamless services from Pacnet is particularly important to companies with global operations, as they can now procure mission-critical services to maintain flexibility and speed to market, and utilize the latest technologies without having to deal with the complexities of managing disparate providers.”

Pacnet’s service portfolio includes extensive network coverage throughout Asia Pacific, connected to Tier III data centers in most major markets. Over the past several months, Pacnet has announced data center openings and development plans in Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Sydney, Australia; an investment into its sub-sea fiber networks to build a 100 Gbps network; an expansion of its IP VPN license in China; and recently announced an extension of its ‘Lightning’ service for high-frequency traders that connects major stock exchanges in the region, namely Singapore Exchange (SGX), Hong Kong Exchange (HKEx) and Osaka Securities Exchange (OSE) (ATTokyo DC).

“By partnering with Colocentric, which fully understands the rigorous requirements of data center and co-location customers, we are positioned favourably to expand our growth and presence in the European marketplace,” said John Armenakas, Pacnet’s Director for Enterprise Markets Europe. “We look forward to working with Colocentric to deliver carrier class, flexible solutions to enterprise customers in the region.”
