Warrington, PA (PRWEB) March 25, 2013

Sunesys, LLC, a dark fiber and lit network services provider with over 8,300 fiber route miles in Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Ohio, Illinois and California, announces plans to provide Hall County School District with a 10Gbps private Wide Area Network to connect 41 locations across the Georgia-based district.

The Sunesys-built network will provide Hall County with the ability to support the many upcoming learning technology initiatives including Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and “Race to the Top” funding in the state of Georgia.

“We are proud to offer Hall County School District an aggressive network solution to support the endless surge in bandwidth and emerging multicast forms of communication in the education sector,” reflects Alan Katz, Sunesys Senior Vice President. “Our E-rate eligible private fiber solution allows the District to benefit from not only the increased bandwidth needed for their dynamic data-intensive applications but the security and reliability offered through the Sunesys WAN solution as well.”

The 10GB wide area network solution is a point-to-multipoint private fiber network connecting 40 remote locations back to the Hall County School District hub site at the Technology Center in Gainesville, GA.

“As a progressive District looking to provide our staff and students with a best-in-class education, the Sunesys network aligns with our commitment to support technology as a pillar at the forefront of our curriculum,” continues Dr. Aaron Turpin, Executive Director of Technology at Hall County Schools. “With our state-of-the-art Data center and aggressive program applications including our cloud-based environment to support BYOD and other emerging technologies and the upcoming PARCC initiatives, a robust WAN environment is a must. With the Sunesys WAN solution, we can provide HCSD with just that.”

The network is set for completion in Fall 2013. For more information about Sunesys and our K-12 solutions, please visit http://www.sunesys.com.
