NCIS Vault provides companies with an advanced, on premise, data protection and storage capability with data replication to the NaviCloud platform.
In a recent IDC Analyst Connection report, “Reduce Storage Infrastructure Costs and Complexity with Copy Data Management,” it’s estimated that in 2011 the amount of information created and replicated surpassed 1.8 zettabytes – or 1.6 trillion gigabytes. This data is expected to continue to grow, in aggregate, at a CAGR of 45 percent from 2010 to 2015. The challenges of data storage are increased as businesses need to retain multiple copies of each piece of data for a variety of business critical reasons including – business continuity and disaster recover, testing, development, data protection and compliance reasons.
NCIS Vault leverages Actifio’s Copy Data Storage system and their patented Dedupe-Async replication technology to reduce the amount of replicated storage a business produces without losing critical information. In the End-to-End service option, the solution includes installation, configuration, and set up of the data protection schema as a part of the NaviSite service. Alternatively, customers may choose to operationally manage their own edge device and purchase replication service to the NaviCloud based hub site.
