U-verse Debuts Two New Apps in Time For Spring Break

Dallas, Texas, March 18, 2013

Whether you’re beach-bound or hosting a party at home, two new interactive TV applications from AT&T* U-verse® will have you ready for Spring Break.

The two applications, U-verse Jukebox and the Interactive Workout App, offer fully customizable experiences for qualifying U-verse TV customers.

  • U-verse Jukebox is a U-verse Enabled application that allows you to play songs from your mobile device on your U-verse TV. In addition, the “Party” feature allows you to invite up to six friends to contribute songs to a dynamic playlist. Make sure everyone’s favorites get played at your next party by inviting them to help you play DJ at your Spring Break party. Party guests can open the app on their own device, select “Join Party” and start sharing tunes instantly. Download the app here.
  • Get your body ready for the beach with the Interactive Workout App. The interactive TV app turns your U-verse TV into your own personal trainer and allows you to create your own customized workout. You can select a target area or do a full-body workout and track your progress as you go without setting foot inside a gym. The Interactive Workout App, available via the Go Interactive menu, gives you one simple place to work out, track progress and get motivated, in any room in the home. Watch the Interactive Workout App turn the living room into a gym here.

“Our goal with U-verse TV apps is to enhance the TV-watching experience in ways that complement or benefit our customers’ lifestyles,” said Maria Dillard, Vice President, U-verse & Video Products, AT&T Home Solutions. “These apps make it easier for our customers to boost efficiency, entertainment and even their health with the devices they use the most. We know when customers use TV apps, they’re more engaged and happier with their U-verse TV service, so we’ll continue to bring more apps to customers that deliver more value and integration.”

Each of these apps are available to U-verse TV customers with High Speed Internet Access. Customers can access these and other TV apps by selecting the Go Interactive button on the remote, without needing special equipment. U-verse TV customers already have access to several additional U-verse TV apps at no extra charge.

Since 2009, AT&T U-verse added more TV subscribers in total than any of the major TV providers reported** and is the only 100 percent Internet Protocol-based television (IPTV) service offered by a national service provider.
