Test Network Featured at the Co-located MPLS & Ethernet World Congress, V6 World Congress and SDN Summit 2013
OTTAWA and BOSTON – March 18, 2013
BTI Systems, the software and networking leader empowering content and service providers to capitalize on trends in cloud services, mobility and Internet video, today announced that it will participate in a multivendor Interoperability Showcase organized by the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC). The annual demonstration will take place at the co-located MPLS & Ethernet World Congress, V6 World Congress and SDN Summit 2013 in Paris, March 19-22.
The EANTC Interoperability Showcase will focus on the latest advances in the industry, including software-defined networking (SDN) and Carrier Ethernet 2.0. In addition, mobile backhaul over packet switched networks will be tested, including packet-based clocking and synchronous Ethernet. Complete details on the test network can be found in the EANTC white paper.
“We successfully demonstrated interoperability and are extremely proud that the BTI Service Access 810 will play an integral role in the final showcase test network,” said Peter Green, Senior Product Manager of Ethernet Products at BTI Systems. “We are excited to collaborate with other leading companies in this public multivendor interoperability event to validate the state of the art of Carrier Ethernet clocking and synchronization for mobile backhaul applications. It’s a tremendous achievement, and one that comes on the heels of BTI being named to the inaugural class of companies that have attained the coveted CE 2.0 certification status from the MEF.”
The Service Access 810 is the first offering in the BTI product suite to be MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 certified. A foundational component of BTI’s Mobile Backhaul and Ethernet Business Services solutions, the Service Access 810 is a compact, carrier-grade, cell tower-ready access platform with enhanced service-level management that delivers scalable services and helps reduce operational costs. With integrated support for both Ethernet and TDM connectivity, it creates an affordable, seamless path to high-performance Ethernet WAN and wireless 3G/4G mobile backhaul services.
