BTI Systems Senior Executives to Present at COMPTEL PLUS, OSA and OFC/NFOEC

VP Chandra Pandey to Moderate Panel on Cloud Strategies; CTO Robert Keys to Speak on Software’s Impact on Optical Communications, and Optical Network Architecture and Technology for Financial Applications.

BTI Systems, the software and networking leader empowering content and service providers to capitalize on trends in cloud services, mobility and Internet video, today announced that Vice President of Platform Solutions Chandra Pandey will lead a panel at the COMPTEL PLUS Spring 2013 Convention & EXPO on March 11. In addition, Chief Technology Officer Robert Keys will be speaking at the OSA 2013 Executive Forum on March 18 and at OFC/NFOEC 2013 on March 19.

The COMPTEL PLUS panel moderated by Mr. Pandey, titled “Capitalizing on the Cloud:  Executing a Successful Cloud Strategy” will take place on Monday, March 11 at 1:30 p.m. PDT and address what resources will best fit a company’s needs as it evaluates its cloud strategies. The session will discuss the resources required, review opportunities for providing cloud solutions to the SMB market and provide an overview of their cloud requirements. Panelists also will share tips about how to control costs, discuss the benefits of hybrid cloud solutions, and outline compliance and data security concerns.

Dr. Keys will participate in the OSA Executive Forum session titled “The Adaptable Optical Layer: Software’s Impact on Optical Communications.” Taking place on Monday, March 18 at 2:15 p.m. PDT, the panel will address the impact of SDN on optical communications, and when it will be a factor. Also, the session will explore the increased role of software on the optical communications market, including cost savings and monetization opportunities.

Additionally, at OFC/NFOEC Dr. Keys will be a panelist in the session titled “Optical Network Architecture and Technology for Financial Applications,” taking place on Tuesday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. PDT. Driven predominantly by the High Frequency Trading communities, the subject of low-latency network infrastructure has gained a lot of attention in the optical industry. Technological and commercial innovations have also been spurred by the financial services applications. As such, this panel session will explore, share and discuss some recent research and development activities, and future trend and business opportunities.
