Zayo Group Plans Metro Fiber Network in Jacksonville Will Offer Metro Bandwidth Infrastructure Throughout Greater Metro Area

LOUISVILLE, CO — (Marketwire) — 02/12/13 — Zayo Group announces its planned expansion into Jacksonville, Fla. The extension into Jacksonville will allow Zayo to offer its entire suite of Bandwidth Infrastructure services, including Dark Fiber, Wavelengths, Ethernet and IP.

Zayo recently expanded its longhaul network into Jacksonville through the acquisition of USCarrier. The Zayo network node for longhaul capabilities is currently located at 421 West Church Street.

“With our reach extended throughout the Southeast U.S. as a result of recent acquisitions, building our metro presence in Jacksonville is a natural next step,” said Glenn Russo, executive vice president at Zayo. “While our expansion is in support of specific customers, the network is designed to serve as the core to our long-term Jacksonville metro network for local and international Bandwidth Infrastructure solutions.”

The planned expansion into Jacksonville marks Zayo’s first significant metro fiber build in Florida.
