Los Angeles, Calif. – U.S. TelePacific Corp., which does business as TelePacific Communications (TelePacific), has changed the name of Tel West Network Services Corporation, its Texas-based wholly owned subsidiary, to TelePacific Communications Co., and fully integrated the subsidiary’s agent program into its own agent channel. As a result, TelePacific’s network footprint and agent program now cover six of the top 10 most populated business markets in the nation: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, Houston, Dallas and San Antonio.
“Dick Jalkut and his team have built a great company,” says Philip Ross, TelePacific’s President of Texas Operations. “One of the reasons for their success is their tenacious focus on customer service, and that commitment to service is also evident in their Telepartner program. That’s why their agent channel has been so successful in California and Nevada. We are very excited about leveraging their channel experience, resources and relationships to create an equally successful platform for agent partners here in Texas.”
The company’s Texas headquarters remains in Austin under the leadership of Ross, who reports to Ken Bisnoff, Vice President of Strategic Opportunities and channel chief at TelePacific. Bisnoff says that TelePacific is moving into Texas markets aggressively and already developing a robust agent channel that will scale quickly throughout the state.
“The Texas markets are now 100 percent integrated into TelePacific’s agent channel, giving Texas-based partners access to our full complement of sales and support resources,” says Bisnoff. “In addition, various network upgrades and initiatives are already well underway so that Texas agents will soon be able to sell our entire portfolio of products and services including our imminent suite of unified communications solutions, collaboration tools and other cloud services.”
TelePacific’s Texas agents already are selling the company’s high bandwidth Ethernet over Copper (EoC) solutions via 145 wire centers across the state. In the coming months, agent partners also will have access to TelePacific’s flagship SmartVoice SIP Trunking and dynamic voice and data services, hosted PBX and 1Net MPLS VPN solutions.
With nationwide capabilities for voice, data and cloud-based services TelePacific’s local network allows agents to meet the growing demands of businesses anchored in California, Nevada and Texas, roughly 20 percent of the nation’s businesses.
