TeliaSonera International Carrier (TSIC) today announced a three-year partnership with Kuwait`s number one wireless internet provider, Mada Communications. TSIC provides high capacity, scalable, IP connectivity enabling Mada to deliver superior performance across its wireless broadband portfolio.
Mada Communications was established as an independent wireless operator in 1997 and its WiMax E-operations will soon cover 90% of Kuwait. By 2012 Mada had expanded internationally to manage its own optical fiber and customer operations across four Middle Eastern markets.
Ahmed Ebraheem, General Manager of Mada Kuwait, says, “We are building on a great relationship with TSIC. Together we have been able to achieve real focus and deliver. Our customer base is demanding and TSIC is key in enabling us to fulfill our mission delivering Kuwait and the Middle East with a leading wireless internet communications service.”
Robert Borkowicz, Head of Middle East Sales at TeliaSonera International Carrier, added, “I’m proud to work with Mada expanding our global services across all its markets. The Middle East is a fast evolving market. TSIC is delighted to be working with one of the region’s leading independent groups.”
The deal marks a significant milestone for TSIC as it expands its IP, Ethernet, voice and roaming services to clients in the region; TSIC has already established relationships with key incumbents and major ISPs in the Middle East region.
