EarthLink Donates Services to Support Cerebral Palsy’s 59th Annual Telethon

EarthLink’s secure connectivity enables real-time contributions for nation’s longest-running local telethon

ATLANTA, GA — February 27, 2013 — EarthLink, Inc. (NASDAQ:ELNK, news, filings) a leading IT and communications provider, today announced that it will donate secure communication services for Cerebral Palsy Inc.’s upcoming 59th annual CP Telethon, broadcast live on WBAY Channel 2 in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 2nd and Sunday, March 3rd.  EarthLink is donating voice services for the telethon site, enabling staff and volunteers to accept real-time donations over its phone lines.

“Without EarthLink’s significant donation, our CP Telethon would be unable to effectively and securely handle real-time donations during the event,” remarked Claire Williams, Director of Communications for Cerebral Palsy, Inc. “We’ve found that our generous community responds when they have the opportunity to directly experience the momentum of the Telethon and know they are helping to provide therapies and professional services to families in their own community.”

Cerebral Palsy, Inc., an EarthLink customer since 2008, leverages EarthLink’s secure, robust network to access the reliable and cost-effective voice and data services it needs to conduct its regional mission.

“Cerebral Palsy, Inc. provides truly essential services that enhance the quality of life for children and adults in Northeast Wisconsin, and we are extremely proud to partner with them to help to ensure their ongoing success,” said Michael D. Toplisek, EarthLink Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “EarthLink is pleased to donate the additional connectivity, security and performance required for the annual CP Telethon, as we know that non-profit organizations like them face the challenge of limited resources, but ever-increasing need for their services.”
