Comba Telecom Unveils Next Generation of Multi-System, Multi-Band Antennas and Subsystems Portfolio at the Mobile World Congress 2013

(24 February 2013, Hong Kong) Comba Telecom Systems Holdings Limited (“Comba Telecom” or “the Group”, Hong Kong stock code: 2342), a leading global wireless enhancement solutions provider, announced the launch of a new generation of antenna and subsystems product portfolio that facilitates a smooth migration path from 2G/3G to LTE networks for mobile operators around the world.

Compatible with a range of LTE frequencies, the portfolio includes a range of antennas and combiners to address a number of LTE challenges that mobile operators face:

LTE network rollout:  Comba Telecom’s new multi-band, multi-system base station antennas and combiners are compatible with a range of 2G/3G and LTE frequencies. Enabling 2G/3G and LTE simultaneous coverage with single antenna, Comba Telecom’s solution allows mobile operators to deploy multiple systems for existing and new cell sites with a smaller equipment footprint. In comparison to traditional models of deploying multiple antennas per site, the solution helps to ease potential site acquisition issues and overloading of existing cell sites.

  • LTE base station antennas are extremely compact and supports 790-960MHz and 1710-2690MHz frequencies
  • LTE ultra wideband antennas support up to 6 channels.  These are designed specifically to address the wide range of LTE frequencies deployed around the world which range between 700MHz to 2.7GHz
  • LTE multi-band, wideband combiners provide wide range of frequencies combination from 380MHzup to 2700MHz

Small cell deployment: Comba Telecom’s range of camouflaged MIMO antennas are specifically designed to provide a unique 3D coverage of street, residential and other small cell scenarios requiring high density coverage such as shopping malls and airports. In addition to meeting the LTE demand for high data throughput, the antennas are designed specifically for small footprint and aesthetic appearance to facilitate easy deployment.

Ms. Carol Ye, Deputy General Manager of Comba Telecom’s Antenna and Subsystems division, said “We are pleased to launch our new product portfolio at this year’s Mobile World Congress which includes our new generation of LTE antennas. They can support ultra-wideband with large range of variable electronic tilt, very good beam shaping features and high reliability. Our new single band antennas are especially slim and compact – even slimmer than the width of some of the popular smartphones.

Our new antenna range coupled with our customized combiners and unique 3D small cell coverage solutions will enable Comba Telecom to provide customers with a smooth migration solution from 2G/3G to LTE with an unrivalled cost/performance ratio.

Comba Telecom’s diversified LTE solutions have been deployed in different countries and regions such as Hong Kong, South America, Middle East, Russia, etc. ”
