(Atlanta, GA) – FiberLight, LLC, one of the nation’s leading providers of mission critical, high performance fiber optic networks, announced today that the company has begun constructing an additional new super metro and regional fiber infrastructure through Central and Eastern Texas. The new network includes the cities of Austin, San Antonio, Schertz, Corpus Christi, Waco, Laredo and many others for a total of 64 cities. These cities will be interconnected with FiberLight’s existing regional assets and connecting the previous announced build that is more than 50% complete in the western part of Texas. The total Texas expansion project coupled with existing fiber assets will result in FiberLight owning just over 9,000 route miles in the state of Texas alone.
“We at FiberLight continue to focus our efforts around three growth areas, wholesale, tower backhaul and enterprise. This large win is in the tower backhaul space which will catapult our wholesale and enterprise initiatives in Texas” said Michael P. Miller, FiberLight’s CEO and Founder.
“This is an enormous boost to the entire state of Texas as we install high fiber count cables. This will allow FiberLight to service all large and small businesses, government, educational institutions and carriers for many years to come. This will also immediately improve LTE rollouts throughout the state,” said Texas native and FiberLight Chief Development OfficerRon Kormos.
FiberLight’s enormous growth over the last few years has verified to the industry that it is now a frontrunner at providing High Bandwidth solutions including IP and Metro Ethernet along with private networks for the most demanding of clients who are seeking the ultimate in network security and reliability.
