Cisco Enhances Healthcare Software and Service Offerings Designed to Enable Caregivers to Provide Higher Quality of Care

Cisco Launches Connected Health Services and HealthPresence 2.5

SAN JOSE, Calif. – January 17, 2013 – Cisco today announced two new connected health offerings designed to meet an increasing need in the healthcare industry for software and services that helps enable efficient, convenient, high-quality patient care, and more collaboration across the healthcare continuum.

Healthcare providers are well poised to take advantage of a connected transformation as people, data, and processes are connecting and talking like never before. An intelligent network that listens, learns, and responds with open interfaces, means healthcare institutions and practitioners will be able to enjoy greater security, simplicity, reliability, and innovation around the patient and care provider experience.

At a healthcare customer event held yesterday in San Jose, Calif., Cisco customers such as Seattle Children’s, Resolute Health, Fundación Peluffo-Giguens and Albert Einstein Israelita Hospital emphasized the need for software and services designed to enable a higher quality of care for a better patient experience and increased efficiency, all while managing costs.
