Network Update Clearwire has restored over 98% of the network in the markets impacted by the storm, and currently anticipates that service to the New York City metropolitan area will be fully restored by 6:00 p.m. EST on Monday, November 12. Hundreds of engineers and field technicians have been working for over 300 hours consecutively to bring back service quickly to tens of thousands of customers impacted by both Hurricane Sandy and Wednesday’s Winter storm Athena.
Our number one focus has been to help consumers and businesses get their internet service working again at their home, office or on the go throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Full restoration occurred in New Brunswick, New Jersey today. As reported last Wednesday, our network team, in partnership with Ericsson, has been able to fully restore service to several markets, including Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Boston, Cleveland and Rochester, New York.
CLEAR Partnership with Manhattan Chamber of Commerce CLEAR has set up a distribution station so that Manhattan Chamber of Commerce members can stop by the 94th Street location to pick up either a CLEAR Spot Voyager mobile hotspot or CLEAR Stick Atlas USB dongle to utilize for these members’ businesses.
