Satellites Are Critical to Hurricane Sandy’s Disaster Readiness

Herndon, VA, October 29, 2012 – Inmarsat Government is standing by to provide first responders and government entities with mission- critical communications during and in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

We provide and test satellite infrastructure immediately, to ensure vital ongoing contact with affected areas is available when ground-based communication is lost. We sell communication equipment such as satellite phones, Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) and Very Small Aperture Antenna (VSAT) systems, as well as satellite capacity, through our established partners or directly via our GSA Schedule 70, respectively. We also provide specially designed mobile satellite communications trailers to disaster areas.
