QUITO, Ecuador, Oct. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT, news, filings) today announced it has expanded its data center in the city of Quito as a response to increased demand resulting from growth in important economic sectors such as insurance, retail and banking. The expansion also comes as part of Level 3's strategy to extend its data center expertise globally by upgrading and expanding data centers and managed services.
"The Ecuadorian market shows a growing demand for data housing, hosting and value-added services," said Francisco Guzman, Level 3's head of Sales and Services in Ecuador.
