[Shenzhen, China, October ,11, 2012]: Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, today announced that its TranSight solution can now provide visibility for operator’s MBB backhaul. An efficient assistant for MBB network O&M (Operations and Maintenance), Huawei’s TranSight solution efficiently monitors and manages whole MBB backhaul IP routes from radio access networks through transmission networks to core networks.
With the development of mobile communication, IP technology is now widely being used for MBB backhaul. IP networks bring many benefits for global operators as well as challenges. Fault location is difficult with IP networks and service quality is unstable. To solve these challenges, Huawei created the TranSight solution to provide visible MBB backhaul that allows operators to quickly find IP network faults.
For traditional OSS (Operation and Support Systems), radio access networks and transmission networks are separately managed. Management systems for radio access networks cannot display connections between NE (network equipment) and routers. Huawei’s TranSight solution shows these specific connections as well as the topography of the whole network, including the radio access network and transmission network. With TranSight, O&M engineers can clearly see the whole network, NE, routers and IP routes, making fault location becomes easier and more efficient. Huawei’s TranSight solution also monitors all transmission equipment provided by multiple vendors in real time.
Huawei’s TranSight, a part of Huawei SingleOSS suite of solution, is a leading OSS solution for MBB networks. A strategic partner of global operators, Huawei is committed to improving MBB network O&M efficiency and user experience to help operators achieve business successes
