BroadSoft Honored as Silver Stevie® Award Winner at 2012 American Business Awards

BroadTouch Business Communicator recognized in category of New Product or Service of the Year – Software – Cloud Application/Service

GAITHERSBURG, MD, October 10, 2012 – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:BSFT, news, filings), the leading global provider of software and services that enable mobile, fixed-line and cable providers to offer Unified Communications (UC) over their Internet protocol networks, today announced it was presented with a Silver Stevie® Award in the New Product or Service of the Year – Software – Cloud Application/Service category at The 10th Annual American Business Awards.

BroadTouch Business Communicator™ is a full UC experience that enables service providers to transform the way individuals communicate by making voice, video, business directories, call logs, instant messaging and presence available on a single interface that spans a user’s mobile devices and platforms, including Windows, Mac, iOS and Android.

“The proliferation of mobile devices, platforms and networks presents a challenge for service providers – as well as their enterprise customers – in how to provide end users with a single interface from which to access a broad range of unified communications services,” said Leslie Ferry, vice president marketing, BroadSoft. “By providing a single application for leveraging voice, video, instant messaging and presence, and other UC services, we believe that BroadTouch Business Communicator addresses this critical challenge, and we are honored it has received this distinguished Stevie Award.”

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 270 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year.

“We’re delighted to recognize so many innovative companies, new products, technical achievements, and technology executives in the ABA’s new product and tech awards categories,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “It’s gratifying and inspiring to have received so many remarkable entries for this year’s competition. We look forward to staging this event in San Francisco for years to come.”
