SUMMIT, NJ & DUBLIN, IRELAND – September 6, 2012 – Hibernia Atlantic, a provider of global capacity services, announces today that its Ethernet services are accessible in IO New Jersey, the largest modular data center in the world. Hibernia’s global network services are available now for existing and prospective IO customers.
With more than 831,000 square feet of space available, IO New Jersey is the largest data center in the New York City metro area and has been awarded Tier III Design Certification from the Uptime Institute. IO New Jersey utilizes the IO.Anywhere® modular data center system and is the first commercially available modular data center in existence.
“IO New Jersey offers top of the line power, cooling and security to deliver a highly reliable data center solution for those in the Tri-state area,” states Tony Wanger, President of IO. “Integrating premium services from companies like Hibernia ensures we continue to deliver the most robust network connectivity available. Hibernia’s access to over 120 PoPs and global footprint adds fully redundant options to our network presence.”
Hibernia’s global footprint, including its transatlantic submarine cables, will connect directly to the IO facility in Edison, NJ. This depth of connectivity will broaden the network reach for customers within the IO data center. Hibernia’s dedicated Ethernet services are available with speeds up to 10G to meet the growing capacity demands required in a facility with high performance levels such as IO.
“IO is a true industry innovator, with a vision for providing efficient data center solutions. This same type of forward thinking is also a driving force for Hibernia and we look forward to adding connectivity capabilities that will strengthen the facility’s offerings,” states Kathy Perone, Chief Operating Officer for Hibernia Atlantic. “With plans to offer our full suite of services from this site, Hibernia sees a significant benefit in having a strong presence in IO New Jersey.”
Operating next generation networks throughout North America, Europe and Asia, Hibernia designs its routes with diversity and security at the onset.
