Professional services and technology innovator leverages data center leader’s secure infrastructure
Richmond, Va. (September 18, 2012) – QTS (Quality Technology Services), one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing privately-held providers of data center facilities and managed services, today announced that it has been selected by Chenega Logistics (CL), a leader in full lifecycle professional services and technology innovations for federal and enterprise customers, to host the company’s data center and cloud services customers in a custom data center setting on the highly-secure 1.3 million square foot QTS Richmond Data Center campus. This agreement combines the advantages of Chenega Logistics’ rapid contracting ability as an 8(a) organization with industry-certified professional staff with the highly secure, robust QTS data center infrastructure to support federal agencies requiring routine or complex data center needs.

CL customers with security needs ranging from unclassified up to and including Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) will benefit from the physical and logical security of the QTS Richmond Data Center, which meets all Department of Defense anti-terrorism force protection physical requirements with a focus on TIA 942 Tier III and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) guideline fulfillment. Security features include a 500-foot setback defined by an energized fence, a visitor screening facility and access-controlled vehicle inspection checkpoints with K-12 rated wedge vehicle barriers. Further protection is provided by armed guards, magnetometers and an X-ray machine. The CL installation will be protected both by guards and biometric authorization, including iris and fingerprint scanners. Additionally, CL will leverage the QTS Audit and Control Group, which assists customers in meeting their FISMA compliance needs.
