Offering Global Availability of Leonid’s Loki Portals and Provisioning
GAITHERSBURG, MD–(Marketwire – Sep 25, 2012) – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:BSFT, news, filings) today announced that they have expanded their partnership with Leonid Systems to include the global distribution of Leonid’s Loki Portals and Loki Provisioning software. BroadSoft and Leonid will work closely to help global telecommunications service providers scale their hosted unified communications services.
Loki Provisioning complements the BroadSoft product suite with simplified service provisioning and activation, while Loki Portals provides a unified customer experience that is easily customized for the specific needs of a service provider. The combination of BroadSoft’s Unified Communications services and Loki Portals and Provisioning allows service providers to quickly implement a best-of-breed solution that shortens time-to-market for new service offerings, while reducing support costs and improving customer satisfaction.
Already deployed by more than 55 BroadSoft customers, the Loki suite is one of the most widely used BSS/OSS solutions for service providers to manage and accelerate the growth of Hosted PBX, SIP Trunking and other cloud communications services. As demand for cloud-based unified communications increases, so does the need to efficiently activate and manage these services. Loki Provisioning provides significant improvements in activation time and accuracy, along with the corresponding decreases in provisioning costs and order backlog.
At the same time, service providers have recognized the importance of customer experience management, which demands a simple, intuitive user experience that empowers their customers to control advanced services from any enterprise device. Loki Portals delivers this in two ways: a customer-ready user experience that includes visual device management and other next-generation usability features, and a framework to more quickly and reliably customize and maintain the user interface. This capability is seen as increasingly important as enterprises move toward more diverse sets of mobile communication devices and other cloud services converge.
Alex Cowan, chief technology officer at Leonid, noted, “The soaring demand for cloud communications services has highlighted the need for more scalable and flexible support systems to complement BroadSoft’s industry leading product suite. We are excited to work with BroadSoft to deliver a modular, extensible solution that meets the current need, while providing the framework for ongoing integration of new cloud services.”
Scott Hoffpauir, chief technology officer, BroadSoft, said: “We are dedicated to providing solutions that meet the varied and unique needs of our global service provider customers. Leonid’s capabilities have strengthened the successful deployment of hosted unified communications services by many of our customers, and we believe the Loki suite can help accelerate service adoption and ensure the efficient service delivery.”
