Ceremony Marks Expansion of Telx’s Second Interconnection and Colocation Footprint in Technology Hub
New York, NY (Aug 21, 2012) – Telx®, a leading provider of global interconnectivity, cloud enablement services and data center solutions, today celebrated the opening of its new flagship cloud connection center, “SCL2” at 2820 Northwestern Parkway in Santa Clara, California with a launch event that featured Telx Senior Vice President of Cloud Services & Strategy Joe Weinman, Chief Evangelist of Rovi Corporation Richard Bulwinkle, and a host of Silicon Valley’s business and community leaders, including Mayor Jamie L. Matthews, City of Santa Clara. The new purpose-built cloud connection center (C3) will offer customized, high power density solutions for small, medium and enterprise businesses, expanding Telx’s footprint in Silicon Valley’s data center landscape.

SCL2, the latest of Telx’s three Bay Area C3 facilities, offers premium colocation and interconnection capabilities as well as direct connectivity to the world’s leading carriers, ISP’s, cloud and content service providers. The 32,000 square foot location supports up to 400 watts per square foot within the green designed Vantage datacenter campus. Like all of Telx’s C3 facilities, the SCL2 facility is a managed, carrier-neutral, secure networking environment for carriers, ISP’s, content providers, financial service companies, bio-pharma and enterprise businesses. In addition, the new facility follows green, energy-efficient standards in accordance with LEED requirements.

In addition to featuring remarks from Joe Weinman, Senior Vice President of Cloud Services for Telx, Santa Clara Mayor Jamie Matthews and Richard Bullwinkle of Rovi Corporation, attendees at today’s ceremony received an exclusive tour of the facility and participated in a networking event.
