SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 21, 2012 – Cisco invites camera vendors attending ASIS 2012 in Philadelphia to join its Plugfest event to discover how the Cisco® medianet network architecture can simplify the management and operation of IP-based surveillance cameras. Medianet brings together advanced, intelligent technologies and devices in a platform optimized for the delivery of rich-media experiences. At Plugfest, Cisco will provide an overview of the benefits that the media service proxy (MSP) offers and perform Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) with other industry manufacturers of IP surveillance camera endpoints on the MSP-enabled Cisco network.

Information sessions about the MSP Plugfest will be conducted on Monday, Sept. 10, from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm and Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am in the Cisco booth as well as on Tuesday, Sept. 11 from 1:30 pm to 2:20 pm in the ASIS Solutions Theater.
