BroadSoft CTO Scott Hoffpauir To Speak on Advantages of VoLTE At CANTO 2012

GAITHERSBURG, MD, July 11, 2012 – BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:BSFT, news, filings) Chief Technology Officer Scott Hoffpauir has been selected as a featured speaker at the 28th Annual Caribbean Association of National Telecommunications Organizations (CANTO) Conference in Miami, Florida, July 22-25, 2012.

CANTO 2012 is the premier Caribbean region conference for telecommunications leaders from industry, the government, and regulatory agencies and academics, consultants, and policy advisors, to engage in dialogue on the challenges and solutions in information and communication technology (ICT). The theme for CANTO 2012 is “Accelerating Broadband Experience in the Caribbean – Transforming the way we live.” CANTO 2012 includes a trade exhibition a robust, interactive technical program where over 100 technology suppliers, systems, products and ICT services vendors will showcase their products and services.

Mr. Hoffpauir’s presentation, “Why Voice over LTE (VoLTE) will be a game changer for mobile network operators,” will discuss VoLTE in the context of efforts by mobile operators to deliver – and generate new revenue opportunities from -unified communications services to enterprise end users and consumers. In his session, Mr. Hoffpauir will share strategies for Caribbean mobile operators to leverage an all-IP environment to roll out new and compelling services such as presence, instant messaging and video calling; as well as share real-world examples of how service providers are benefiting from VoLTE.

Mr. Hoffpauir’s presentation will be held on Wednesday, July 25th between 11am-1pm as part of Session 6: Crucial economics for mobile data backhaul – comparisons of capex and opex of fibre, microwave and E-band PTP, and microwave PMP backhaul within LTE, 3G and small-cell networks.
