EDISON, NJ. - June 6, 2012 - IO, the leading provider of next-generation modular data center technology and services, announced today that the company has been awarded a contract by Nothing But NET, a provider of private cloud computing and hosting services.
IO will provide Nothing But NET with Data Center as a Service (DCaaS™) delivered out of the IO New Jersey data center. Nothing But NET will connect its systems at IO New Jersey with existing systems at the IO Phoenix data center to provide multi-site disaster recovery services to customers. Nothing But NET will leverage high-speed, dual-fiber connectivity between the two IO data centers to allow customers to mirror data instantly to a secondary site that will improve data availability and accelerate recovery processes.
"IO's modular data center solutions are the perfect technology for us to roll out and build our disaster recovery services," said Bob Cox, president, Nothing But NET. "IO provides the secure, highly reliable and redundant infrastructure that is essential to ensure uptime even in the face of unexpected disasters. Equally important, IO DCaaS allows us to use and pay for only the data center capacity which we require and we can also quickly grow as demand for our services increases."
With more than 831,000 square feet of space available, IO New Jersey is the largest data center in the New York City metropolitan area. It is the only Tier III-designed commercial data center available in the area that is also 100 percent modular. IO New Jersey utilizes the IO.Anywhere® modular data center system which provides everything a company needs for the enterprise-class infrastructure required to run IT operations.
"IO's Tier III Design Certification is strong validation that its data centers meet our enterprise-grade requirements. As a small business, it would be cost prohibitive for us to try to duplicate the data center infrastructure which IO provides us," said Mr. Cox.
IO designs, engineers and delivers data center infrastructure for the world's largest enterprises, governments and service providers. IO owns and operates data centers for hundreds of customers, and has leveraged this experience to build a next-generation Data Center 2.0 cloud enabling technology platform. IO.Anywhere modular data centers provide enterprise-class infrastructure that can be delivered as Data Center as a Service and rapidly deployed as a product to customer sites anywhere in the world. IO developed the first data center infrastructure operating system, IO.OS, to provide the intelligent control needed to maximize utilization, resiliency and energy efficiency. IO is a privately held company headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. For more information on IO, please visit us on the web at io.com.
